Baby blankets

I learned how to make these really simple blankets by watching my mom.  They are just two pieces of flannel (1 yd each) with batting in-between, tied together with yarn.
I always get my flannel on sale at Joann's so these are a really inexpensive, cute, cozy, and a practical gift for any kid ages 0-5 - after that age, they might not think it's cool to get a blanket for their birthday.

This is a train pattern with a solid blue backing.  I just used my lap quilting frame and tied it with white yarn.
I just zigzagged around the edges to finish it off.
This is one of my favorites!  I LOVE this animal print and I think the rolled edges look better and more finished.
Cute fabric huh?

I think I'm just going to hire you to make these for me!! They LOOK like something I could do...but I'm pretty sure I would mess them up!! Great job!!

Thanks! You could totally do it! If we lived closer I'd have you and Angee over for a craft night sometime. Maybe we can do a webcam tutorial session or something. I'm sure you could make an adorable blanket or whatever you wanted!
